At 7 p.m. on a Thursday in July, Pearl Street is doing what Pearl Street does: patio tables full, buskers at the 1300 block, the Bands on the Bricks crowd finding a corner near the beer garden. Ten blocks south and 300 feet up, a wooden auditorium built in 1898 is filling with a different Boulder. The doors open at 7. A 14-year-old plays Sibelius at 7:30.
If you already live here, you know both of those Boulders exist. What you may not know is that this particular summer, the second one is where an unusual amount of once-in-a-generation programming is stacking up in an eight-week window.
